I have never been outside of America so I guess I really have not traveled. I use the term adventures instead. My favorite rest stop is Billings Montana because I had a wonderful time there and the people are as well no matter what their nationalities are. Unfortunately, there is a tremendous amount of racism, discrimination, prejudice and very obvious lack of respect for the literally NATIVE AMERICANS that resides there. When I say the people I the people...in Billings Montana your race,heritage,culture or nationality is not at all a fear factor for ones self; however, as a woman of color as well as the CHEROKEE AND BLACK FOOT INDIAN blood that pulses through my veins... There was no way. I was going to let it be known; shamefully I did not defend my honor; due to the fact that I did not want to be treated the way the Native American Residents of Billings Montana are still to this day now being treated. |
